Bingo’s more popular during credit crunch

During the current economic climate many small businesses and even big corporations are finding it hard to cope, especially the high street stores, restaurants and pubs. However, bingo seems to be bucking the trend as recent figures show that consumers are turning to this popular game as an alternative night out.

Bingo halls from all over the UK are reporting an increase of up to 25% more customers, as people look to save money and still have fun with their friends on nights out. Most of the new customers are younger people ranging from groups of girls to students who want to have fun with the added bonus of the chance to win some money.

Over the past few years there has been a growing demand for online bingo, which has exploded with millions of people playing each year and hundreds of sites available, but during this current economic crisis are we about to witness a new bingo boom with land based bingo halls? Only time will tell.
